Let me say we are just too disappointed we were not able to get back to Preserved for a second time. It was our first meal in St. Augustine and we should have made another reservation the first night. The menu changes seasonally and depending on what is available. There were a few things I planned on having that I had seen in pictures that were not available, but the current menu did not disappoint! The oysters and the accompaniments were like food from the Gods! Don't really like arugula, but their salad and the dressing was perfect! I had Mussels and their house cut fries, which were addictive! My husband had the New York Strip steak which he said was exceptional! My husband doesn't like asparagus but he Loved their asparagus with mushrooms (minus the bacon). Dessert--crème brûlée-Wonderful! The place is in historic African-American neighborhood of Lincolnville in a beautiful home with a lovely porch and garden. Everything about this experience was lovely. The staff is nice and very well trained. I can't say enough.

I enjoyed dinner here with my friends. The restaurant is a beautiful house with inside, patio, and porch seating. We were on the porch. Just note it can get chilly on the porch as I didn't notice any heaters. The food was delicious- I had the pork chop which was cooked perfectly. I also loved their creme brulee! Service was quick and friendly.

I visited this place for the first time and LOVED it. Wow.!!! The food is incredible. We made reservations for 8 before we were off to Fort Mose to see a show. We were seated promptly, attended to, had drinks, conversation, dinner, and dessert in an aethestically pleasing environment with top notch service. I had a roasted chicken dinner and while that might sound boring; it was the best dish of chicken I've EVER had. The vegetables, salads, and appetizers were beyond delicious, as well. This place is in St. Augustine so you might worry about parking. No need to worry; they have a big parking lot which is so nice.... if you've ever been to St. Augustine you know how cool this aspect is.

This is my fav place in town for a nice dinner out. Make reservations online, sit outside (but not the porch), and over-order. Every time I'm here I struggle w which entree to get bc they all sound amazing. I wish I could try them all! The mussels and salads are always delish to start. My mom got the shrimp and grits last time we were there and omg it may have been the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Absolutely incredible. I got the chicken (good but def the least fav of the 3 entrees) and my dad got the pork chop (holy moly). We've had the fish before - they always do a nice spin on that. Next time I'm getting the short rib - idk why we always pass on that; it sounds amazing. Pretty good crème brûlée. Meh creamed spinach. GO HERE.

From the host all the way to the Crème Brûlée, everything was fantastic. The sweet potato/ apple soup confused me as to why they are selling a fall soup now, but I'm heading North do it made sense to me. It definitely had fall flavors. Oyster are always good, no matter how they cooked . The shrimp and grits were the best I have had in a while . The grits were so smooth such good flavor and texture . Crème brûlée's was perfect, then came my $4.00 coffee that took that last star away . All that goodness and ruined by not so good coffee .. other then that I highly recommend Preserved . It is BYOB, do maybe next time I'll BYOC..

Preserved was amazing!! The restaurant is in a late 1800's Victorian house and you can choose between outdoor, indoor, and front porch seating. The restaurant is located in Lincolnville, a few blocks from Flagler College and downtown St. Augustine (which was beautifully decorated for Christmas, though the lights were a bit over-the-top in some areas). We started with the Roasted East Coast Oysters, Soup du Jour, and the Arugula salad - all delicious. The wine selection is extensive. The waiter recommended Sylvaine & Alain Normand Macon made from Chardonnay grapes, which was crisp and refreshing and paired perfectly with the Cheshire Pork Chop, the pork chop being uniquely delicious. We also ordered the melt-in-your-mouth Braised Beef Short Ribs. All-in-all, I highly recommend Preserved for its top-notch carefully prepared food, wine selections, atmosphere, and service.

I've been wanting to try Preserved for sometime now and finally had the opportunity when someone came into town, so I was super excited! Arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation time, so we could find parking. Lucky for us, Preserved has a parking lot and we were able to score a spot, so we were early for our reservation. The hostesses were great. When we asked if we could grab a drink at the bar prior to our reservation they said they don't have a bar, but they could seat us at our table early. Upon going inside, I noticed a cute outdoor patio with outdoor seating, and seating around the big porch. I love that this restaurant is inside an old Victorian home. Once we were seated, our server Heather told us about the menu, gave us a wine list, and let us chat. When she came back, we opted to get a half dozen oysters. She told us that they were from VIrginia, and while they may be a bit smaller, they wouldn't lack in flavor. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling French rose to share. Heather was very attentive, always refilling our wine glasses and water glasses. When our oysters came out they looked lovely and I loved the little dropper filled with vinegar and the cocktail sauce. Our server was correct, the oysters were a little smaller in size, but still sweet. The vinegar dropper added a little punch to the oysters. For our mains, I opted to get their local fish, which was red snapper and instead of rice middlins, I opted for grits. My friend got the braised short rib. This is a great place to go for a meal and not be rushed. The interior adds to the charm and you feel like you're eating at a quaint bed and breakfast. We were given bread and butter, which was delicious. Our meals came out and was super excited to dig into my meal. I was a little nervous about not going with the short ribs, but one bite of the fish put my mind at ease. The fish was perfectly seasoned, flakey, and delicious. The crawfish etouffee added just the right amount of flavor, and the grits were creamy and delicious. To say this dish was fantastic is an understatement. it was so good, I ate everything on my plate. My friend really enjoyed her short rib. She said it was very tender. Pros: -Delicious food -Great service -Outdoor seating -Parking for restaurant guests -Quality ingredients Cons: -no bar -beer and liquor only Tips: Ask your server for recommendations. They'll gladly give them to you!

What a great restaurant! We started with the raw oysters which were delicious. Their wine list was impressive and a lot of unique wines. If you don't finish the bottle they let you take it home with you. I also had the spinach salad 10/10. For entrees we had the seared scallops and the ribeye which came a la carte. They're famous for their steaks bc they have their own butcher. The beef is grass fed but grain finished. Dessert we had the smores bouchon and they gave a complimentary creme brulee for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. They do take reservations and they have their own parking as well. We sat on the porch and it was a little chilly but they had heaters. Not very kid friendly so keep that in mind families with little ones. Their outdoor patio was very cute and a great place for a drink. Our server was Megan who was outstanding. The hostess was also very sweet and accommodating with us being late due to the not so Jolley trolley LOL. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

This place is extraordinary in all aspects. It's such a gem in a beautiful area of st Augustine. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Florida in the past few years. The restaurant location is in a old Victorian house. There are plenty of tables on the porch, the yard and inside as well. The stuff is friendly and knowledgeable. The menu changes with each season. We were lucky to try two new dishes: the crispy fish on a bed of broken rice and veggies and citrusy scallops. Both were out of this world good! So delicious I wanted to lick both plates. We enjoyed a glass of amazing wine from Sardinia with a bowl of delicious mussels. For dessert we we had the crepe brûlée on the house, for our anniversary. We will drive few hours just to eat here again! Superb!
